A week of musical treats

The Wednesday and Thursday evenings of Arts Week saw two Musical Soirées. These started with a performance by the Senior Choir of ‘To Make you Feel my Love’, and ended with the whole cast performing ‘Adiemus’, by Carl Jenkins, ably accompanied by the recently formed Percussion Ensemble. In between were many outstanding individual and duet performances, across a range of instruments and musical genres.  There were also outstanding performances from the String Ensemble, the Pop Choir and the Jazz Ensemble. Parents went home buzzing, having been thoroughly entertained.

Finally, the week ended with the Pop Vocalists’ concert on Friday afternoon, when the audience enjoyed performances from over thirty individual boys, ranging from Year 4 to Year 8. The concert opened and closed with performances from the whole Pop Choir, each boy gaining a huge amount from the experience of performing in front of a large, live audience.
