Go Green for Dyslexia

On Wednesday, Moulsford turned green for the 'Go Green for Dyslexia' event organised by the Dyslexia Trust in association with Nessy.  The idea behind the campaign is to encourage staff and parents to:

GO and get information      GO and get assessed

GO and get help

At Moulsford, the Learning Support team presented a special assembly where the message was:

GO and get support     GO and get resources

GO and achieve your dreams

The boys were invited to pay £1 and wear something green, with the money raised going to local primary schools who we have built links with in order to help fund their SEN provision.

The day was also designated 'No Pens Day Wednesday' and provided an opportunity for the boys to have dynamic, creative lessons without using pens or pencils.

The kitchen staff continued the theme with a lunch of burgers.  Within the Learning Support department, the burger plan is often used to help frame a story.  The bun is the intro, build up is the ketchup, the burger is the climax (the meat of the story), resolution is lettuce and conclusion is the bun.  This was followed by green jelly!

It was a fantastic multi-sensory day in support of a great campaign.  Thanks to everyone who helped bring the campaign to life.
