Victory for Amundsen

The much awaited Moulsford annual inter-House Mathematics competition took place this week and once again, the spirit of the competition was excellent with all Houses trying their very best. The first hour was spent on rounds that involved times tables, problem solving in pairs, filling in a crossnumber and a team relay race. At the end of the first round Amundsen’s team had set a blistering pace with 186 points.  However, on entering the theatre, the battle for the lead heated up with Drake winning the ‘Generation Game’ round and Cabot the Countdown round.  Going into the final round Amundsen were still in the lead.  The staff round proved to be a one horse race with Mr Weeks and Mr Smart clearly showing their mathematical strengths in the Linkee round, winning by a clear margin further extending Amundsen’s lead.

Congratulations go to Amundsen!

The winning team consisted of Harry M (Year 8), Leo F (Year 7), Jack D (Year 6), Josh C (Year 5), Tom D (Year 4) and Gilby B (Year 3).
