Visit to Wind and Solar Farm
To reinforce their learning of renewable energy, Year 6 visited the Westmill Wind and Solar Farm. They enjoyed a guided tour, including the opportunity to go inside a wind turbine, and learnt more about sustainability.
The boys also heard about the farm site as a whole and the importance of biodiversity. They saw solar panels, wildflower meadows and heard from a shepherdess as well as learning more about how the farm is funded.
We hope that the boys all enjoyed the trip and that it has sparked their enthusiasm for renewable energy sources.
