A month of Form Assemblies
As well as Mr Beardmore-Gray’s regular live assemblies on Tuesdays and Fridays, our Form Assemblies are still taking place, albeit in a slightly different format. Since the start of term we have been treated to excellent assemblies from 6A, 5S and 6S.
6A’s assembly was filmed during the lockdown in December whilst the boys were at school, and they treated us all to a lockdown quiz which has come in very handy since we were all confined to our houses again!
6S focused on appreciating what we have and how we can turn the positives of lessons learned during lockdown into New Year’s Resolutions. The boys shared their plans for 2021 and in some cases even showed us what they have planned like Ben PP’s bug hotel and nature garden. We were also treated to cooking demonstrations from a number of budding chefs.
5S wanted to focus on one of the most important role models to have emerged from the last year – Marcus Rashford. The boys told us all about the free school meals scheme and how important Marcus Rashford’s lobbying has been to help tackle poverty. It was a very thought provoking and powerful message.
Every boy recorded their own section and then the assembly was edited and put together to create a final production. Mr Albon, Mr Sparrow and Mr Smart were very impressed with the boys’ efforts and we are looking forward to more assemblies as the term goes on.
