Back after a 3-year wait!
Our senior musicians from Years 6, 7 and 8 closed last half term with a wonderful and varied concert.
There were a large number of boys involved and every one of them performed with huge enthusiasm. It was particularly fantastic to have parents back in person at this event after a 3-year break! Dressed in red, white and blue for the Jubilee celebrations, it was clear to see how much the boys enjoyed being in front of an audience.
This was an instrumental concert and the pieces chosen by the boys reflected the wide range of instruments taught within the school. It was fantastic to have brass, strings, woodwind, piano, guitar, percussion and the harp all represented, as well as a vocal quartet.
It is always gratifying to see how far the senior boys have progressed in their musical studies and it is very much hoped that the Year 8 boys in particular will continue to grow and develop as young musicians as they move on to their new schools.
