Leo continues to race
Our resident Karter, Leo R in Year 7, competed at the PFI International circuit in Rounds 1 and 2 of the LGM (British Championship) series last weekend. Leo was consistently the quickest in testing, and qualified on the front row for Round 1. In very tight racing, Leo won both heats, which earned him pole position for the final. Again, the racing was close, with Leo winning by a small margin.
Round 2 was held on the following day with mixed grids. Leo won 2 of the 3 heats and finished 2nd in the other. The final was held in very wet conditions, which allowed Leo to show his class. He started from pole position again, and drew steadily ahead of the field. Leo’s winning margin at the end of the 15 minute race was 10 seconds.
We look forward to seeing how his season progresses.
