Music and Art on Display

The Art element to this year’s Arts Week was based on the theme Community.  Each boy was asked to create a Hexagon that represented himself, using his hobbies, family and pets as inspiration. These hexagons could then be joined up to create one community.  The artwork flooded in and at the last count 270 hexagons have been produced, including work from staff, parents and siblings.  Rather than a physical exhibition like we usually do, this year’s exhibition is online and you can view the amazing work on this website https://sites.google.com/moulsford.com/arts-week-2020/home.  Well done and thank you to everyone who took part!

On Wednesday it was the turn of our singers to take to the stage for the Pop Vocal Concert.  Ordinarily this event would be in front of gathered parents but with current restrictions we decided to go ahead virtually and film each of the boys’ performances instead.  Arranged and accompanied by Mrs Lunnon, there were a variety of song choices ranging from Coldplay classics through to Keane and Bastille and some musical theatre thrown in as well. The boys performed with enthusiasm and confidence and it was lovely to hear some live music again. Congratulations to everyone who took part and thank you to Mrs Lunnon for helping to make it happen.
