Fabulous festive jingles
A fantastic Year 4 Christmas Variety Concert got everyone into festive spirit on Tuesday evening. Warmed by mulled wine and mince pies, parents were treated to a feast of musical talent.
An opening winner of ‘Walking in the Air’ sung by the whole year group brought tears to the eyes. Miss Moore’s hard work on harmonies has clearly paid off! There were also very impressive choir performances of Oh Holy Night and Come to the Manger, with beautiful part-singing.
There were too many excellent individual performances to single any one out. Most important was the courage with which all of the boys took to the stage in front of a large audience to play their piece. Huge congratulations to all those who put themselves forward, which in itself is a huge achievement, especially for those who have only very recently taken up their chosen instruments.
And what a variety of instruments were on show – from piano to guitar to saxophone, clarinet and even a harp duet. It was a wonderful display of budding musical talent, and we look forward to much more over the coming years. Thank you Year 4!
