A memorable experience for our pianists
On Monday 5th March, five of our boys attended the Radley College Piano Extravaganza. Along with the two already owned by the college, FIVE extra Steinway Grand Pianos were imported into the Silk Hall to form a magnificent array of seven grand pianos. The day was spent rehearsing arrangements of the 'Dr Who' theme and 'Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious', written for 21 players - three pianists per piano.
During the concert at the end of the day, the audience were also treated to performances by four of the senior Radley pianists and a piece by the teachers.
The sight and sound of seven grand pianos being played all at once was quite spectacular, providing an experience our boys will remember for a long time to come!
