Walking for Charity
Last Sunday, bathed in glorious sunshine, 340 people took part in WalkWithMe and Little WalkWithMe. Two hundred walkers set off from school at 6.30am to take part in the 26 mile route, and for the first time this year, 140 walkers set off from the Sue Ryder Hospice in Nettlebed to walk 10 miles back to Moulsford. The atmosphere for both events was buzzing as everyone romped their way through the miles. At the finish line in the grounds of the school they were met with cheers, bunting and balloons and a well-earned burger and beer!
The two events have so far raised over £45,000 for Action Against Cancer and the Sue Ryder Hospice at Nettlebed, with Little WalkWithMe contributing over £11,000 of that total. We hope that the boys and girls that took part are very proud of their achievement in not only walking so far, but also raising such a fantastic sum of money.
