Year 3 talk by David Cadle, The History Man
Year 3 had a morning of exploration this week when David Cadle came to visit. David, who is known as the History Man and works as a historical interpreter for schools and museums, helped us discover about cavemen following their noses to navigate, and brave men looking for fame and gold.
We learnt about:
the fearless, violent Vikings versus the nice, godly religious saints
Drake and Columbus in the Caribbean finding new food and spices that changed our lives forever
the guns and swords used against the clubs of Montezuma’s Army and the North American Indians
exploring the hot African jungles and racing to the North and South poles
the space race from dirigibles to the moon and beyond
What an exhausting, but fun, morning we had!
