Year 3 talk by David Cadle, The History Man

Year 3 had a morning of exploration this week when David Cadle came to visit.  David, who is known as the History Man and works as a historical interpreter for schools and museums, helped us discover about cavemen following their noses to navigate, and brave men looking for fame and gold.

We learnt about:

  • the fearless, violent Vikings versus the nice, godly religious saints

  • Drake and Columbus in the Caribbean finding new food and spices that changed our lives forever

  • the guns and swords used against the clubs of Montezuma’s Army and the North American Indians

  • exploring the hot African jungles and racing to the North and South poles

  • the space race from dirigibles to the moon and beyond

What an exhausting, but fun, morning we had!
