In the final round of the Moulsford Boys Cake Off competition, the boys really pulled out all the stops with the 'Showstoppers'. The diverse designs and delectable creations that arrived at school each morning sent a real buzz around the dining room. The whole school had an opportunity to indulge at different times throughout the week and we have all really enjoyed tasting the wide variety of cakes in all shapes and sizes. The competition has definitely ended on a high and it is all down to the hard work and effort put in by the individual chefs as well as the patience and encouragement from their parents.
Thank you very much to all the bakers, you have made the judging very difficult but thoroughly enjoyable. The overall winner was Oscar from Year 6. In the other year groups, the winners were Max B from Year 4, George A from Year 5, Oscar BN from Year 7 and Barney DP from Year 8.
We were delighted to welcome Mary Berry, queen baker herself and a Moulsford grandmother, to present the certificates in our school assembly and the boys were thrilled to be congratulated by her personally.
The boys’ enthusiasm for the Boys’ Cake Off has been really impressive and we have raised over £500 for Blue Skye Thinking.
