The pet lion from Harrods

The boys were lucky enough to be visited by John Rendall, who was one of two Australian men who in 1969 bought a lion cub from Harrods and kept it as a pet in their Kings Road flat. The lion was called Christian. When Christian was too big for Chelsea life he was returned to the wild in Kenya. Some time later John and his friend Ace Bourke travelled to Kenya and their emotional reunion was caught on camera and the story has been documented in "The Lion from World's End", and "Christian the Lion". The boys were transfixed by the whole story, and many now want a lion cub as a pet!
