Head's Blog

We have been blessed by the sunshine for Activities Week. Year 8, 7 and 6 have enjoyed fabulous trips to Devon, Normandy and the Brecon Beacons respectively, while Year 5 made the most of our wonderful riverside setting with an exciting array of outward bound and team building activities with the staff of the Oxford Boat Adventure, culminating with two nights camping on the school grounds - the blackout tents were in high demand! Year 4 perhaps had a more comfortable night with the whole year group enjoying their first night’s boarding with Mr. Albon and his team. Years 3, 4 and the Pre-Prep have been in on the fun as well with a host of exciting, educational and themed activities and trips. I have loved following all their adventures on Instagram Stories - please watch out for further news stories and photos of these trips, which will be published next week. Everyone should sleep well tonight! Thank you to the Moulsford staff for all the planning, organisation and hard work that goes into making our Activities Week such a success for all your children.  The memories of this very special week will stay with them forever.

While the children were busy with Activities Week, we were delighted to once again host the Summer Lunch at Moulsford on Tuesday.  This was another fantastic event which raised much needed funds for the mental health charities No. 5 and Brave Mind. Thank you to the Moulsford community for supporting the lunch so generously, to Sarah Furness for giving such an inspirational talk, to the Country House Department for being lead sponsors for the lunch and to Catherine Coulson and her team for organising an excellent event. A large thank you also to Helen Stamoulis for her wonderful work in creating such a great atmosphere at the Parents Association Tropical Summer Party last Saturday – what a very special evening it was. I look forward to seeing many of you at the Summer Concert and Prize Giving next week.
