Traditional Service Goes Online
One of the highlights of the Christmas term is the annual Carol Service, usually held at the Falklands Memorial Chapel at Pangbourne College. This year was always going to be different, but we were determined that the service would take place in some way. Therefore, with the help of Talefin Productions, we were delighted to be able to film the service for the whole Moulsford community to enjoy at home.
The Senior Choir and Orchestra had to be pared down, but the performances were certainly not diminished by the reduced numbers. Harrison H, as Head Chorister, opened the proceedings beautifully with his solo for the first verse of 'Once in Royal David's City', and the Senior Choir and Orchestra provided the rest, with a lovely duet from Lachlan M and Bertie W.
Every year group from 5 to 8 was represented by a small choir who brought festive cheer and fun to the proceedings and the readers from across the school delivered the lessons with confidence and clarity. Thanks to the English Department for preparing them so well.
The boys worked very hard over a full two days to create a memorable carol service and we would like to thank Mr Bissell and his visiting music teachers for helping to bring the whole event together. It was a mammoth effort but we are sure you will agree that it was well worth it! Merry Christmas!
