Over £20,000 raised for Maggie’s and YoungMinds
At 6.30am last Sunday, 95 walkers set off in the mist from Moulsford to take part in WalkWithMe 2019. The 26-mile route took them through beautiful local countryside, along the Ridgeway and into the Chiltern Hills and the sun really shone for them.
This year they were joined by 149 walkers completing the 10-mile LittleWalkWithMe which was open to children aged 10 years and over and their guardians. The atmosphere for both events was buzzing as everyone romped their way through the miles. When they reached the finish line back at Moulsford, ferry boats carried them across the water to be greeted by cheering crowds, bunting and balloons but more importantly burgers and Pimms!
So far the two events have raised in excess of £20,000 for Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre in Oxford and YoungMinds, the mental health charity. It’s not too late to donate so please visit https://www.walkwithmeuk.org/ and click on the Donate button for all the information you need.
