Daniel G Wins Gold
Daniel G in Year 5 represented Moulsford last week in the under 11’s Oxfordshire Schools Individual Table Tennis Championships. Many different schools from across the county were there including Abingdon Prep and Magdalen College School.
Daniel sailed through the group and quarter final without dropping a game and went on to win the semi-final putting Moulsford in a top position after starting the match 1-0 down. The final was a heart stopping match in which he lost the first game 11-9, then amazingly went on to win the next three games 11-6, 11-8 and 11-9 to win the whole match 3-1.
Daniel is thrilled to be flying the flag for Moulsford as the under 11’s Oxfordshire Schools Individual Champion. Daniel is now eligible for the Table Tennis Nationals in April, representing Moulsford and Oxfordshire.
Daniel only started playing table tennis in Year 3 using the outdoor tables in the playground, making his achievement even more impressive. Congratulations Daniel!
