Oliver W’s Boarding Tips
In my fourth year of boarding I am able to look back on how I have grown as a person. And this is hugely due to my vibrant and exciting experience in the boarding house. Here are my 5 top tips for new boarders!
- The Boarding House is such a busy place with a lovely atmosphere and lots of opportunities to offer so make sure to get involved.
- The Boarding environment forces you to make friendships with people you may not have considered so be open.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for seconds at dinner, especially pudding.
- Enjoy exploring a breadth of activities in the evening as it is the best way to close a long and busy school day.
- Make sure you are really productive and focused in the precious 30 minute prep sessions because it definitely helps your school work, as well as making the time with your friends more enjoyable.
Overall having started boarding in Year 5 it has felt like a second home and I love the care that all the staff have shown to me. I have enjoyed growing into more responsibility as I have moved up through the years. This has really cemented my place in the Moulsford community.
