Creative fun making Christmas wreaths
The aroma emanating from the dining room on Monday evening of mulled wine and mince pies mixed with the wonderfully Christmassy smell of fir, spruce and eucalyptus reminded us all that the festive season is now well and truly upon us!
Huge amounts of greenery, plus feathers, roses, berries and cinnamon sticks had been gathered together to provide inspiration for the twenty-four mothers who had signed up to create a Christmas wreath. With oasis rings ready-soaked, all the Mums had to do was select their colour scheme and get their creative juices flowing! A wonderful array of extremely impressive designs was produced to adorn the doors of South Oxfordshire.
As well as being a fun and festive evening, the event raised over £600 for the South Africa Tour Charities. A very large thank you goes to Annie Smith for pulling the event together, and to Kate Miller and Val Ward for being her able assistants.
