Mermaids and a pink octopus…
A fantastic night was had by all at the Under the Sea themed Ball last Saturday, organised by a committee from the Moulsford Parents Association.
The rain showers kindly held off while drinks and canapés were served on the terrace overlooking the river, and a live mermaid lay resplendent on a podium ready to welcome guests. The sports hall was transformed into a stunning watery undersea world with suspended anemones, coral and seaweed adornments, together with a very busy sea captain’s bar. Shrieking laughter emerged all evening from the photo booth, with table groups posing for posterity.
A delicious dinner was followed by energetic dancing – the DJ was clearly doing something right as the dance floor remained packed throughout.
The committee would like to thank everyone who supported the event, making it one of the biggest balls ever. After such success, they are already looking forward to planning next year’s event, and are busy plotting lots of cunning and creative ideas. Saturday 24th June 2017 – save the date!
