Since a young age Maths has always been the subject I loved most. I love the challenge of it and the process of trying to find a solution to a problem. In 2011 I moved to London to complete a PGCE and from there began my teaching career in an inner city primary school where I worked for 5 years before moving to Dulwich Prep London to be a Maths and Sports teacher, as well as Head of Year 6. I have always enjoyed helping children learn in an enjoyable and engaging way and have been lucky enough to teach all ages from Reception to Year 8.
Teaching runs in the family, with my father being a Headteacher for many years and two of my four siblings also enjoying successful teaching careers. I am a keen sportsman and have a particular passion for both football and cycling. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to see some amazing places around the world. My wife (who is also a teacher) and I love the outdoors and enjoy walking, swimming and cycling with our two young children. We always look forward to our annual trips to the Cornish coast and long trips back to Ireland to see family and friends.
