In my ‘Word from the Head’ last week, I mentioned that Gilby B had just finished sitting the Eton College Scholarship exams, with all our other scholarship candidates having taken their exams earlier in the year. I am delighted to announce that Gilby’s results came through this afternoon and he has been awarded an academic King’s Scholarship to Eton. This is an outstanding achievement as he was competing against an international field at one of the most selective schools in the world.
Well done to all those Year 8 boys who have put themselves forward for scholarships at 13+ to their senior schools. The journey that they take through their final year at Moulsford in preparation for these assessments is every bit as valuable as the outcome itself, and they should all be extremely proud of what they have achieved. They will have learned a huge amount from the experience. Very many congratulations to those Year 8 boys (listed below and in the picture above) who have gained awards.
