A service of reflection and celebration

On Tuesday we held our annual Easter Service which, though it was in the Sports Hall rather than the theatre, was a beautiful reflection on the theme of Easter, and all it represents. This celebration of a very important event in the Christian calendar, included contributions from a number of boys; Head Chorister Archie D-P, gave a mesmerising performance of ‘When I Survey the Wondrous Cross’, to the tune O Waly, Waly, accompanying himself on the Ukulele. Lachlan M, Leonardo M, Rupert T and Bertie W formed a quartet to perform John Brunning’s ‘Pie Jesu’, a stunning piece, beautifully performed. The Choir sang ‘Light of the World’, with Sam G performing the solo, and readings were given by Year 8 Boys: Archie P, Oscar T, Ben W, Russell F, Rory W and Henry M, with Hort W concluding the proceedings with the prayers, as the serving Head Boy always does.

Thank you to Mr Bissell, Mrs Clements and Mr Squire for organising the service and well done to all of the boys for their contributions. A great way to round off the term. Happy Easter everyone!.
