Which Tutor Group was victorious?
Monday evening saw the culmination of this year's Boarders' Masterchef. Once again, it has been wonderful to see so much interest and skill on show from the boys, and there are some genuine budding chefs within the ranks. The final saw the Albon / Skinner Tutor Group up against the Noble / Saunders group, with each group given an hour to prepare a steak dinner to the best of their ability. We also had the privilege of having our own chef Dan Windebank judging the boys and sampling their fayre. It is fair to say that Dan was very impressed, with the Albon / Skinner group gaining an impressive 40.5/50, only to be pipped to the post by the Noble / Saunders group, with 44/50, including an incredible 20/20 for their taste rating.
The boys (and staff) have once again learnt a lot through this year's competition and may even (I hope) be coming home with a desire to prepare dinner for the family a little more readily! Well done to all of the boarders and staff involved and special thanks to Dan Windebank for giving up his Monday evening to judge and give feedback, as well as having to work his way through two steak dinners...
