What are you doing for others?
We were thrilled to welcome Clare Cook, from Soundabout, to talk to the boys in assembly on Tuesday. Clare explained how Moulsford can help to support the work that Soundabout do and showed the boys an incredibly inspiring performance by the Soundabout Inclusive Choir featuring two Moulsford boys Gilby and Joss B. Plans are afoot for Moulsford Choirs to collaborate with Soundabout in a very special performance at the MPA Christmas Fair: watch this space!
This week also saw the launch of the ‘Double the Love’ campaign supporting Mary’s Meals. As of the 1st November, all donations to Mary’s Meals will be doubled. It only costs £15.90 to feed a child for one year, through Mary’s Meals. By donating now, we can make a huge difference to the lives of twice as many children, please help us to continue this amazing work. You may remember Mr Patrick Derham, who spoke to some of the boys at Prize Giving last year and offered some important words that were shared with him when he was at school, “What are you doing for others?” This question came to mind again for me this week and I was reminded of our challenge: to make sure that we, the Moulsford Community, can always respond to this question positively.
After the great success of the Moulsford Mudder, raising nearly £500 which got the charity calendar underway, we are excited to continue our efforts as the year goes on.
