Raising money for school charity
Charlie T, our Year 4 Charity Prefect, came up with a brilliant idea to raise awareness and funds for our UK-based school charity, Rivertime Boat Trust whilst the school is closed. Charlie invited the boys in Year 4 to complete a Sponsored Charity Fun Run or Cycle. The boys could choose to do either a 3km run or a 5km cycle but the rule was they had to complete it in fancy dress.
There were some brilliant outfits including Theo’s green wig, Charlie T’s fox and Guy R in his rather dashing tail coat but William H took things a step further by making a huge pair of wings to turn his bike into a plane! Wing Commander William H completed his 5km flight (cycle) in 13.35 mins.
The boys set themselves a target of raising £100 but the total currently stands at £289! For more information about Rivertime Boat Trust, visit https://rivertimeboattrust.org.uk/. Thank you so much to everyone for supporting all of the school’s charity initiatives and well done to Year 4!
