Boarding

James T talks life in the Boarding House

Boarding is a great opportunity, with all of the activities that are on offer every night.  For example, in the sports hall there is; Football, touch rugby, climbing, dodgeball and even gymnastics!  We also get to do so much more, from cooking, to quizzes, to trips to the theatre.

I find getting my homework done is a lot easier at school than home.  If you are struggling on Maths, English or Science there is always a teacher to help. When exams come around, Mr Noble and all the boarding staff offer all the support they can with extended revision sessions and answering any questions you have.

The food is amazing!  We get cooked breakfasts every day with a delicious juicer so that we can make our own juice, and the Bursar was nice enough to invest in a boarding Waffle Machine for every Tuesday and Friday.  On a Monday and Tuesday we are fortunate enough to be given cooked suppers followed by a delicious make your own sandwich on Wednesday, and then a very nice Thursday night special, which has an international theme each week, this term.

Being a Year 8 in boarding is great fun, with certain (but not too many!) privileges for us. These include being able to go up and down the blue stairs and having tuck on Thursday night to end the week.

Overall boarding is great fun and a great experience you may never get again!
