Superb team performance

It was a lovely sunny afternoon when we set out in the minibus for the annual Chandlings cross country competition.  We were entering a team from Year 3, Year 5 and Year 6 only, as Year 4 were playing rugby. As per usual, it began to cloud over as we approached Chandlings and the temperature dropped quite significantly, but to the boys’ great credit, not a single complaint was made all afternoon about the cold......except from myself and a few parents.

All boys were super excited about their first official race of the year and they ran like they meant it. There were superb individual performances from Guy R and Charlie C in Year 3, coming in 5th and 6th position and finishing 3rd overall as a team.

Rory W ran like a pro and came 1st in the Year 5 race, closely followed by a great run from Max S.  The boys also finished 3rd as a team.

The Year 6 boys put in a brilliant performance, adding to our overall Moulsford team score, and helping the Moulsford team finish in 2nd place overall, out of at least 20 other schools.

It was a great afternoon and lovely to see our boys supporting each other so readily. As a DT teacher, I don't get out to visit other schools that much, but when I do I always come away thinking what lovely boys we have here at Moulsford, and yesterday was no exception.
