Another fun packed evening!
This year saw the fourth Moulsford’s Got Talent and yet again, the solidarity between all parts of the Moulsford Community was visible by the bucket load. The evening’s performances ran like clockwork with lots of the Moulsford staff working behind the scenes with the props, the sound and the stage management, to mention but a few and it really was like a well-oiled machine. We are also very grateful to the Parents’ Association for looking after the bar throughout the evening, you did a terrific job, thank you!
We were very pleased to welcome George and Sharon Jenkinson and there dog Wilma who were representing Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. They helped us to remember what it was all about and expressed their heartfelt thanks for all the fundraising that the Moulsford Community has done for them over the last nine months. We are very grateful to the group of interviewees who, despite some nerves, were brave enough to talk to the audience about some of the amazing fundraising achievements that they have been involved in over the last year. Well done to all of you, Archie B, George M, George P and Tom L, you are an inspiration to us all.
Once the finalists got started, it was clear that the audience were in for an enjoyable and extremely varied evening’s entertainment. We had comedy, dance, magic, scooting (a first for MGT), as well as some incredible musical performances from a wide range of music genres. The boys really did show off some of their hidden talents and to a very high standard. Thank you to all the finalists for their efforts, it was evident that they really had put in an enormous amount of time and thought into their performances.
The winners in each year group were as follows:
- Year 5 – Woody H-H
- Year 6 – Kit S
- Year 7 – Crash Landing (Arion T, Hector H, Morgan P, Nico vd M, and Toby C)
- Year 8 – Vinnie K
Our overall winner this year was Kit S. Well done, Kit, for a really spectacular dance!
Our grand finale ‘Monstrosity’, the 40+ staff dance medley choreographed by Jess Roberts, did not disappoint. Music through the ages was our theme and after many lunch time and break time rehearsals, it all came together on the night and we delivered in true Moulsford style. Thank you so much for all of your support, it is hugely appreciated. Plans are already underway to make next year’s MGT bigger and better, we look forward to welcoming you all for another fun packed evening.
