Two fun Athletics events

Radley College host Prep School Athletics Meet

On Thursday 17th May, 22 boys from Years 5, 6, 7 and 8 travelled to Radley College for their annual Prep Schools Athletics meet.  It was a fantastically sunny day and it was a pleasure for the boys to enjoy Radley’s amazing facilities.  Our three aims for the day were to enjoy it, try our best and support our fellow competitors, something which the Moulsford boys did magnificently.  They were a pleasure to be with.

It was great to have four boys from Year 5 at their first big meet for the school, Felix C, Tom DuB, Harrison H and Max DeM, who all put in a huge amount of effort and competed very well across the different events.

Some standout performances of the day were Barnaby H, Sam W and Will C winning the 100m, 200m and 300m respectively, Jago D recording an impressive 1.30m on the high jump, Oliver H coming 1st in the 200m and 2nd in the 100m, Edward B jumping 1.50m in the high jump and Tom LeB running a 5 minute 9 second 1500m in a strong field.

Credit must go to all competitors for the endeavour and commitment shown in all events, well done boys let’s keep it going.

Quad Kids Tournament

On Saturday 19th May we took a team of boys from Years 3 and 4 to the QuadKids Athletics Tournament at St Hugh’s School.  The boys were grouped with girls from Rupert House, so that all of the teams were mixed.  The teams took part in six events and finished with a relay.  They all performed really well and a particular mention must go to Harvey C who came 3rd overall for the U9 boys.

Many thanks to St Hugh's for hosting a wonderful morning of athletics!
