End of Season Report

All of the boys, staff and hopefully parents have enjoyed a very successful rugby season.  The results have generally been very good, but far more importantly, the performances have been excellent.  We often adjust teams to try and create a better match, with B teams sometimes playing A teams and our E teams playing C teams.  It is far better for boys to play in a close match and develop as players, rather than simply win against a weaker opposition.  It has been lovely to hear positive comments from all of the coaches, of all of the opposing teams.

For our Year 8s, this Wednesday was the last rugby match of their Prep School career.  The U13Bs finished with a wonderful performance against Ludgrove, with the U13Cs having had some excellent matches in their season.  The U13As have played some incredible rugby, particularly since Christmas, including a very skilful display against Shrewsbury House and an enormous amount of passion and commitment against Aldro.

It has been great to witness the improvement in every boy, from the U10E team to the U13A team.  A special thank you to the groundsmen for the pitches and the kitchen ladies for all the amazing teas.  Thank you to every coach, every boy and to all the parents for their support.
