Independent Fundraising

There has been a wonderful community feeling to our fundraising over the last few months where so many boys have been giving up their time, passing on things that they no longer need and showing compassion for others in their time of need. Time, things and compassion remain at the core of our charity ethos at Moulsford and it is with these three considerations in mind that we move forward to reach out to those less fortunate than ourselves.

We have already had lots of different school events over the last term and it has been brilliant to have so many boys from across the year groups getting involved. Even more heart-warming is when boys take it upon themselves to organise their own fundraising activity in their own free time to support our school charities. One such boy was Archie D-P in Year 4.  Archie started playing the ukulele at the beginning of this academic year but seized the opportunity to show compassion for others and gave up his time over two days in the run up to Christmas to play Christmas carols as well as some pop songs at The Tree Barn raising over £50 for our school charities, “Hearing Dogs for Deaf People” and “George Adamson Wildlife Preservation Trust (GAWPT)”. A terrific effort Archie, thank you for supporting our charities in this way, you are an inspiration to us all.

If other boys have fundraised independently, please let us know so we can share and applaud your efforts with the rest of the Moulsford community.
