A wild day out!

You may have seen some tweets from the Park on Wednesday but if you missed them here are some of the highlights:

The penguins and otters entertained us with their showing off in their pools as they dived and swam at high speed, the Meer cats captivated us as they went in and out of their burrows giving us both overland and underground views of their movements and the Rhinos made us smile as they took a leisurely snooze until one stood up and we saw just exactly how enormous it was!

The giraffes elegantly drifted past us at head height blinking their extraordinarily long eye lashes and the ring tailed lemurs let us get really close to them as they ate their lunch.

The male lion demonstrated his powerful roar and made our stomachs vibrate, the giant tortoises made us realise how small we are in comparison and the sloth showed us that life in the slow lane is sometimes as useful as going at things at full tilt.  We had a great train ride around the whole park and danced the conga too!!

A wonderful and wild day out for all!
