The Moulsford Community comes together for School Charities
On Friday 16th June, the Moulsford Community came together for a wonderful evening of music, magic and dance, aka, Moulsford’s Got Talent! Our compere this year was Rupert Lazarus, an Old Mole himself. This year we were also fortunate to have Peter Higgins from Mary’s Meals as well as Dan Orpin and Chris Burrows from Style Acre. It was wonderful to hear them talk about the impact that the Moulsford fundraising has had on their charities and for them to express their appreciation to the Moulsford Community as a whole.
The acts from each year group had been rehearsing all afternoon and the boys were raring to go. With the sun shining and the scene set, the third Moulsford’s Got Talent was soon underway. Every year group rose to the challenge and performed brilliantly, what a talented bunch the Moulsford boys are! All public voting was done through the school twitter account and as the acts started the votes came pouring in. The Moulsford boys put on a terrific array of talents and both the audience and the all-important judges were very well entertained.
A huge thank you to all the finalists for all their efforts, they really put in an enormous amount of time and thought into their performances. The winners in each year group were as follows:
Year 5 - 3 Ways Forward (Felix D, James H and Jack P)
Year 6 - The Bull Dance (Tom L, Arthur U, Sam C, Joss G, Joe T, Theo McC and Joe C)
Year 7 - Milo G
Year 8 - Fate (Harry B, Oscar Gibson, Ed Bush, James Bush)
Our overall winner this year was Milo Griffiths. Well done, Milo!
We would also like to mention especially all the boys who came up to the stage and talked a little about some of the different events throughout the year that have helped to raise money for Mary’s Meals and Style Acre.
The much anticipated return of Monstrosity, the 40+ staff dance medley choreographed by Jess Roberts, was the perfect ending to a very enjoyable evening. We are very grateful for all of your support and look forward to putting on another good show next year.
