Great start to the Cricket Season
The 2017 cricket season at Moulsford kicked off on Wednesday with a wonderful game for the 2nd XI against Beeston Hall, a touring side from Norfolk. The afternoon was bathed in glorious Spring sunshine, there was great support on the boundary and, of course, some enjoyable cricket out in the middle.
Bowling first, the visitors were restricted to 85, with most of our boys having a bowl and many finishing with impressive figures. After tea, our opening pair got the team off to a flyer, and the runs were ultimately achieved with only 3 wickets down and six overs to spare.
A great start to the season with some lovely performances. As always, there are clear areas to work on, but overall, a hugely enjoyable start to season.
