Go Karting Champion
Apart from completing his homework, Leo's other achievement during the half term break was winning the national karting championship in the Bambino Class, for 6 - 8 year olds. It was contested over 7 rounds throughout the year at circuits in Scotland, England and Wales. The final round was at Buckmore Park in Kent 2 weeks ago. Leo (Year 3) won two of his heats in wet weather and went into the final only needing to finish 7th. He did more than enough, ending the day safely in 3rd place just behind his main championship rival.
The championship trophy will be presented at a black- tie dinner for all of the National Champions following the Autosport Show in January. Many congratulations to Leo!
