Nico wins Music Prize at Pangbourne Piano Festival
Nico was the winner of the Intermediate 10 (Grades 3-4) class at this year’s Piano Festival at Pangbourne College - he impressed the judge, Mr Howard Evans, with his performance of ‘A Stormy Coast’ by Carroll. Two other Moulsford boys, Ediz and Harry, also took part, gaining Highly Commended and Commended respectively in their category.
The classes of the Festival have a workshop style to them and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Students have the opportunity to play on two magnificent Steinway concert grand pianos which are part of a fleet of these world class instruments at Pangbourne College.
Nico, Ediz and Harry were among over 110 piano students, aged 7 to 18, who took part in this one-and-a-half day event and they had a wonderful time.
