Moulsford’s charity update
Hopefully you are aware of our school charity Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals’ vision is that every child receives one daily meal in their place of education and that all those who have more than they need, share with those who lack even the most basic things. Since 2018, Moulsford has been sponsoring Virginia Assembly of God Mission School, a ‘Mary’s Meals’ school in Liberia, Western Africa. Every academic year we are committed to raising approximately £7,500 to ensure all the boys and girls that attend ‘Virginia AGM School’ receive a nutritious meal in their place of education.
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Moulsford has just made a donation to Mary’s Meals for £5,780.08, a truly incredible amount. The timing is particularly good as a group of generous Mary’s Meals supporters have agreed to match all donations made until the 31st of January, up to £1.5 million. In other words, our donation guarantees that over 600 children will receive life-changing meals, at a time when the cost of living crisis is making it more and more difficult for Mary’s Meals to reach those children.
We are so very grateful for all that the Moulsford Community does to support our fundraising efforts, it simply would not be possible without your support, thank you! As I said to the boys in my charity assemblies last week, everyone has their part to play and ‘little acts of love’ really can make a big difference.
