MPA Summer Party
After the last two Moulsford Balls were postponed due to Covid, the Moulsford Parents Association were determined to mark the return to school in style last Saturday with their Autumn Equinox Party. A fabulous stretch tent was erected on the front field, allowing room for 430 guests to enjoy dinner, dancing and everything in between! The fabulous committee had dressed the marquee beautifully with foraged flowers, leaves, berries and twinkly fairly lights and it all added to the magical atmosphere.
Autumn leaves, faux fur, flower headbands and velvet capes were the order of the day with the Moulsford community fully embracing the theme and bringing Autumnal glamour to the fore. The weather was kind and guests enjoyed a glass of bubbly and canapés on arrival before settling down to dinner. After a seasonal feast, the assembled guests eagerly took to the dancefloor and danced along to the band until the early hours. Fun was had in the photo booth, waffles were eaten from the coffee and waffle truck and the bar staff were kept extremely busy throughout the night (we heard the toffee vodka and chilli tequila were particularly popular!). It was clear from the shapes being thrown that people had been desperate for an opportunity to party like it was 2019!
The committee would like to thank everyone who supported the event and the army of willing volunteers who helped to make this a huge success. They are already looking forward to planning next year’s event ……
