Express Yourself

This week has been Children's Mental Health Week and the focus has been to 'Express Yourself'. We are all different, we are all unique and we should be celebrating what makes us us!

As we know that sleep, nutrition and exercise are very important for how we feel mentally, we have focused on these areas this week. Mrs Gipson, the school matron is a trained nutritionist and has kindly put together some videos on the benefits of a healthy diet, as well as producing a smoothie making video with recipes. She has also continued her weekly mindfulness videos, with this week focusing on sleep through ‘Beditation’.

Mr Springer and the rest of the sports department have continued to keep the boys fit and healthy through their daily workouts, and the new House challenge of racing from Land’s End to John O'Groats will hopefully spur the boys on even more to get out and rack up the miles.

This week the boys have also been asked to express themselves with a short video or photograph to show what makes them feel good and what they enjoy doing in their spare time.  We hope to share these with you next week.

Finally, Friday was 'Dress to Express Yourself' day and all the boys were encouraged to dress up for class, again to express who they are and how they feel.  Staff joined in too and there were some entertaining looks to be seen!
