Festive Event Raises Thousands
The Virtual Christmas Fair, held on Sunday by the Moulsford Parents Association, was a fantastic success! A massive thank you to all the boys and parents who went online to support the MPA and bring a little bit of festive joy! There were over 10,000 page views and over 1000 items sold...which ultimately raised over £5,000!
Parents were extremely generous with donations for the Secret Santa, Christmas jumper sale and chocolate tombola and parents and year groups provided some fabulous raffle prizes including a paddleboard, a Fitbit, hampers, gin, jewellery, a wreath, artwork and many more fabulous items.
Not all of the donated Secret Santa gifts were uploaded on to the website in time, but these extra items will be donated to the Berkshire Women's Aid and Nomad Centre, so a big thank you from these charities for your generosity.
The boys had the opportunity to purchase items from the pocket money and sweetie stall and many of the younger boys took the opportunity to have a Zoom chat with Father Christmas in the virtual grotto!
There were also Moulsford branded tea towels and fudge as well as apple juice made from the apples collected from parents earlier in the term.
We had some amazing external and parent-run stalls too and these remain open for purchases until Sunday 6th December.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event a huge success, especially the MPA.
