Creating memories
Despite the unusual circumstances, we have loved having Year 8 back in school over the last few weeks to enable them to say goodbye to their friends, teachers and their time at Prep School.
With the absence of a whole school photo this year, and the complexities around taking a Year 8 photo ourselves, we were delighted when Bentley Photographic said that they would be able to produce a year group photo of the Year 8 boys. With some technical wizardry they have managed to take a socially distanced picture of each bubble and then stitched them altogether to create a fantastic shot. We hope that the boys will be pleased with the final photo of the leavers of 2020.
Thanks to the skills of Talefin and current parent Max Tilney, on Wednesday we were able to livestream a Prize Day for the whole Moulsford community to enjoy. The Year 8 boys were able to attend and collect their prizes and we enjoyed funny and emotional speeches from the three Head Boys, Leo F, Hunter R and Sam W. We also heard from Chairman of Governors Edward Boddington and Mr Beardmore-Gray. We were also delighted to welcome James Dahl, Master of Wellington College who gave an uplifting and inspirational speech to the boys.
Despite the rain, we couldn’t let the boys finish their time at Moulsford without some kind of water-based activity and this year saw the return of the Slip n Slide! As each bubble took their turn to hurtle down the hill, the rest of the boys looked on and enjoyed lunch. Afterwards, the boys finally had their turn at the ice cream van, having missed out at the end of their Common Entrance. It was a very fun way to round off the term and their time at Moulsford. Best of luck boys, you will be missed.
