A Busy Start to the Year for the Boarders
It has been a busy start to the school year for the boarders, with a broad range of activities on offer and our Boarding Tutor Groups going on their start of year outings. From ten pin bowling to supper at Nando's, a trip to 'The Escape Room' and another to 'Red Kangaroo', choices have been diverse, and much fun has been had!
We have welcomed eighteen new boarders to the house and it has been lovely to see them integrate so well. The 'vibe' around the house is as warm, welcoming and community focused as I have seen it, and with such an enthusiastic and caring group of staff to look after them, the boys seem to have settled into their home from home particularly well this September. There is much to look forward to, with our termly Boarding House quiz approaching, as well as a trip to watch Reading FC, with the boys set to have a penalty shootout at Half Time. There is of course time for work, as well as play, and productive revision sessions will be promoted and overseen in the lead up to school exams after Half Term.
We are seeing more and more 'day boarders' in the house, and with requests for boys to start flexi boarding after Half Term, it is lovely to see so many of the senior part of the Moulsford boys' community in and around the house each week.
