All Different, All Equal
This week has been Anti-Bullying Week, organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance with the theme 'All Different, All Equal', which aims to empower the boys to celebrate what makes them, and others, unique.
Following on from last week’s Virtual Reality workshops, the School Council met on Monday to discuss anti-bullying and the school's anti-bullying charter. Throughout the week form time has been given over to discussions on anti-bullying. All boys in Year 4 and above have done an Anti-Bullying Survey this week, and the message has been highlighted in the Pre-Prep assembly on Monday, 7GW Form assembly, as well as the Headmaster's assembly.
The aim of all these elements was to help the boys understand how important it is that every child feels valued and included in school. Boys were encouraged to be themselves, without the fear of bullying, and there were discussions about bullying, difference and equality, and we celebrated what makes us all different, as well as what makes us all equal. The boys were encouraged to take individual and collective action to prevent bullying.
On Thursday we had a good turnout for 'Odd Socks Day' – the idea of which was to give the boys an opportunity to express themselves and appreciate individuality and uniqueness!
On Friday the Pre Prep were very excited to go and see the film 'The Ant Bully' in Henley.
