Fencing Regional Qualifiers

Three boys heading for the Nationals!

The Southern Region Age Group Sabre Qualifiers took place last weekend, with the top four from the event proceeding through to the Nationals.

In the U12 Boys section, the entries from Moulsford were Oscar N, Ben A, and Lachlan A.  Many congratulations to Oscar, who finished in 1^st place and is now Regional Champion. Meanwhile Ben finished an excellent 2^nd and Lachlan was tied for 3^rd place.  They have all accepted their places in the British Youth Championships.

The boys all fought hard and courageously and didn’t give in. There were a few instances where they fell behind in the scores and managed to claw themselves back into the fight. They all fenced very well and we look forward to seeing how they get on in the National Championships, held in Sheffield from 29^th April to 1^st May.
