Update and Thank You from the Shamas Rugby Foundation
Many Moulsford families will remember the Kenyan boys who visited Moulsford in November 2014 as part of their rugby tour to the UK, thanks to the Shamas Rugby Foundation. Their visit had a huge impact on the boys and staff here, and on the Moulsford families who hosted them. Many people have maintained links, and continued to fundraise or collect clothing donations to send out to Shamas. Please click here for a ‘thank you’ newsletter from Shamas.
For those Moulsford families who are not already aware, the Shamas Rugby Foundation is a charity based in Nairobi, Kenya, which has been supported by the Moulsford community in recent years. Shamas provides weekly rugby clinics and Sunday training clinics to over a thousand children. By making rugby accessible to disadvantaged children, it provides them with a positive focus, and access to life skills education after training sessions.
