Parents Association Purchases
The Autumn term features some of the Parents Association’s most popular events, the Headmaster’s Quiz, Bonfire Night and the Christmas Fair. These events raise a lot of money and the MPA are grateful for the generosity of parents each and every year. All of the money raised via the Parents Association is used to provide equipment that directly benefits the boys in the classroom, on the sports field, in the music room, the theatre or the playground (and more!).
Over the last three years the MPA has made some fantastic purchases. Playtime has been a key focus with equipment purchased for the adventure playground, a giant connect four and trikes for the Pre-Prep and a play panel. Most recently, the MPA has purchased outdoor table football and the extremely popular zip wires! The new croquet set was also well used during the Summer Term and the Boarders are looking forward to receiving their new pool table imminently.
In the theatre and music departments, the MPA have purchased sound equipment and a new PA system, a camcorder, riffle mics and a sound license which are all being used regularly. In the art room, new Airbrush equipment has arrived and on the sports field the boys have benefitted from new cricket nets, a trampoline, table tennis, sailing boats and kayaks and an additional climbing wall. The Parents Association also contributed to the new Buggy which has been patrolling the sports field to ensure that any injuries can be dealt with quickly.
Technology has been a big focus for the MPA and in the Pre-Prep, the boys have benefitted from an amazing interactive table (like a giant iPad). Departmental Apps, a contribution to the 3D printer and a satnav have also been bought.
With learning outside being a big focus at Moulsford, the TenTipi, Greenhouse and equipment for Forest School have all been extremely well received by the boys.
The MPA has also purchased some more practical items like a new BBQ, water fountain, hog roast equipment and extra electricity sockets in the sports hall to make running events like the Ball and the Christmas Fair a little easier.
With a busy year ahead, the MPA hopes to continue raising lots of money and will be updating you on new purchases throughout the year. Thank you for your support.
