Moulsford win the Warthog Sevens Tournament at Summer Fields
Moulsford entered two teams for the Warthog 7s at Summer Fields, a tournament which caters for teams made up of players who have been regular members of their 3rd and 4th XVs. Both of the Moulsford teams made it through to the knockout stages, the B team as runners-up in their group, while the A team won their group without conceding a score. As luck would have it the Moulsford teams met in the semi-final, with the A team coming through winners after a less than easy contest. In the final the Moulsford As were up against Summer Fields, and owing to the exceptional pace in the host's team it was little surprise that at half time Moulsford trailed 0 - 12. However, in the second half we came back strongly and managed to score three tries, the last of these coming in the dying seconds of the match, much to the unbridled delight of all the players concerned. The boys from both of the Moulsford teams were magnificent, and thoroughly deserved their success.
