From our new Head of Boarding
So far this term we have had an enjoyable time in the evenings, with the pool being open every night and a range of fun activities on offer!
At the start of this term we welcomed Mrs Hatton into the boarding house as our new boarding house matron. I think she has just about mastered everyone's names now!
We have had baking on Monday and Thursday nights (of course the best bit of that is eating the food afterwards!). With the weather improving, we have been in the pool, and have had fun playing cricket, rugby and various other games on the front field.
Of course though, school exams are nearing and for the Year 8’s there is Common Entrance after Half Term. The main thing is getting the right balance between work and play, and due to the structure of the evening, it flows very nicely. There will be Common Entrance subject revision sessions each night next week with the boarding staff, and then perhaps a nice cool off in the pool!
We very much look forward to all that there is to do over the last few weeks of term too!
